POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Batching - Understand and can effectively and accurately use the systems available to operate our batching system (Repete). This requires the ability to control the movement of material through the conveyance systems to the batch scales (Majors and Minors), through the mixer and understanding what actions affect the quality of the batched material being produced. Understand the flow of the batched material from the mixer to the destination needed for the next step in feed production, either finished mash, or to the feed hoppers above the pellet mills. Pellet Mill - Understand and can effectively and accurately use the systems available to operate our 2 pellet mills. This requires the ability to control the movement of material through the conveyance systems to the pellet mills and know what actions affect the quality of the pellets being produced. Understand the flow of the finished pellets to cool, crumble and assign to final storage destination. Monitor hammer mill and maintain necessary levels of ground corn, both fine and coarse, to produce all feed needed during a normal production day. Change screens and adjust VFD’s as needed to maximize production. Maintain levels in Micro Bins of ingredients in their correct bins, for uninterrupted operation of the batching process. Operator needs to be ab le to use feed sieve to ensure that crumbles are of proper size and make adjustment in a timely basis to produce a premium crumbled feed. Consult with QA on a regular basis, with results, challenges and concerns. Feed production goal is 35 – 40 tons per hour (Mash, Pellets, Crumbles). Use Google Sheet, or other inventory management tool, accurately and completely, in a timely manner. Raw Bulk Receiving - Understand and can effectively and accurately use the systems available to determine where bulk ingredients need to be stored.
